I was Born in Ukraine into a family of artists. My father, Vasyl Krasokha, who is an established Ukrainian artist, began to define my artistic abilities since I was about five years old. One day he impressed the admission council of the Ivano-Frankivsk School of Fine Arts for children with my watercolor paintings. Soon after I was admitted to study there.
During those early years I also realized that I love going to the beauty salon with my mother. Observing how hairstylists were able to create new looks for women seemed magical to me and I quickly fell in love with this transformation. After graduating High School I spent three years learning hairstyling techniques and then continued on to study at the Ivano-Frankivsk Art and Culture University.
During my time at the university I remember getting the most enjoyment from drawing fashion models and paying particular attention to the model’s face and hair. I have graduated in 2004 with a Master’s degree in Fine Art and Design.
Eventually my love for fashion, beauty and art has brought me to New York City. In this wonderful place I can pursue my dreams by combining my passions for fashion and beauty in the art of makeup.
I owe this profound revelation to my family, my art teacher Sam Adoqoi, my makeup instructor Angelique Velez, everyone at the wonderful Chic Studios NYC and National Academy School of Fine Arts and everyone else who has taught and inspired me to succeed.
